New poster/modeler here. I might as well start out on what I've flown around on... ANA 777-300ER (I love this plane. Great airline too. I'm glad ANA's getting more.) ANA 747-400 United 777-200 Korean Air 747-400 (Business Class B)) United 757 (I think. Flew with my dad to Washington DC) Southwest 737 (Many MANY times on these. Mainly between Oakland and San Diego) US Air BAe 146 And I do think I flew on a few PSA flights as a kid when they were still around. Probably on their 737's and BAe 146's. I don't know if I flew on their 727's though. They flew a few of those in the 80's right? |

I just joined this forum and thought I'd add my input. I have been on the following airlines and services: Delta Air Alaska United Continental Frontier JAL China Northwest Airlines Aeroflot Northwest Air China PSA Southwest Lufthansa Air California ExxonMobil plus a couple of bush planes in AK and flown on: Airbus 310 Airbus 320 Airbus 310 Airbus 340 An-124 Beechcraft Queen Air Beechcraft Twin Bonanza Bell 206 Long Ranger Boeing 707 Boeing 727 Boeing 737 Boeing 747 Boeing 757 Boeing 767 Boeing 777 Cessna Caravan Cessna single Convair 880 L-1011 DC-8 DC-10 MD-80 MD-90 EMB 110 Sikorsky S-76C Tu-154 Bo 105 The most interesting was a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg on the An-124 back in 1995. No windows, just an abbreviated passegner space in the forward part of the plane. Boarding was thru the door on the forward, left side through the cargo area and into the separate passenger compartment. I wish I had paid more attention but a lovely blonde who accompanied me on that flight was a major distraction. Ken |

I only flown on a jetliner once, it was in 1989, a flight between Belo Horizonte and Cuiabá, I was very young, if I'm not wrong it was a Boeing 737-200, the airline was Cruzeiro I think... but I have not sure about the airline. More recently, I took my private pilot license, and I flown some AB-115 and a Piper J-3, such a lovely plane this piper... and I flown a couple of gliders too, a Puchacz and a Quero-quero. best wishes to all José Cheers from Brazil! |

I forgot one on my list! In Jun 1981, we flew from DFW to DTW on a American 707. I am wondering what series it was. When we touched down at DTW, a life raft panel in the ceiling, over the wing, popped open and startled everyone......was this a overwater series 323? I guess AA retired 707s right after we flew on that one. I think it also had the antenna on the tail. a 323? Liam. No .com schemes ever. |

I just have to add a very interesting flight from Graz (Austria) to Berlin (Germany). It was my last chance to fly to and from Berlin Tempelhof before closing end of october. It's a pity they close this historically important airport Intersky (3L) Dash-8-300, reg. OE-LIC Jumpseat GRZ-THF and THF-GRZ Many thanks to Christian H. and the crews, as well to THF-ADI for picking me up on the ramp. cheers RainAir flying is not dangerous, crashing is dangerous |

My biggest regret however is never experiencing Concorde. |

Here is my list... excluding duplicates (like I've been on Westjet 16 times in total or 11 AC A320's) All together it's 115 flights from 1969 until now with (hopefully) many more to come. Kev1n mentioned the B Cal Sikorsky service between London Gatwick and London Heathrow. When I was a young lad working for Continental at Gatwick I got some free tickets on B Cal - so I went for a ride on the helicopter. It was brilliant! My stats http://my.flightmemory.com/pa747sp |

Here we go: Air Malta A320, 737-200, 737-300 Air 2000 757-200 TEA 737-300 First Choice Cook 767-300 Dan-Air London 737-200 Northwest 747-200 Northwest 757-200 Air Europe 737-300 Thomas Cook 757-200 British Airways 777-200 Virgin Atlantic 747-200 Excalibur DC-10 (almost) Lauda Air DC-10 Probably more and some waaaay more than once (Air Malta and BA!). Soon: United/Continental 767-300, A320, 737-800, 777-200 Most memorable - Virgin Atlantic from LGW to SFO in summer 1995 - while waiting to board Virgin staff asked my dad if he minded if they upgraded us to Upper Class as a family had booked there whose kids were too young - oddly enough he agreed!! My one and only time in business-class esque cabin! And being told by the stweardess when we boarded "your seats are just up the stairs on your left" is quite an eye-opener for a commoner like me!! Also, on the Excalibur flight (urgh!) in mid-1996 - going from MAN to MCO, flight out had to be on a Lauda DC10 because one of the engines on our plane had been accidentally removed by an airstair on the tarmac! Then on the way back the Excalibur DC-10 decided to have a wiring fault which meant smoke wanted to start coming out of the vents onboard during taxi! After more delays we decided thanks but no thanks and got a BA 777 back to LHW. Loads of passengers decided not to board and left in Orlando airport overnight, made the papers back here apparently and was a big step towards Excalibur goin bust about two weeks later! Keep on flyin! |
