Great news Sergio, at least we have something, though i'm certain the dates will slip a few weeks. I'm surprised we still don't have photos of the test shots, at least for the Tu-134. Man, these Russians are prolific, in a 12 months period they will have released the lovely Superjet, the Tu-134 and the 747-8i ! |

Can't wait for the 747. If it is really good, I will buy 10 or more Will the Tu-134 be a new tooled kit or a "mould-share" with the AZ-Model release? |

Quote Buying 10 or more Zvezda 747-8i kits ? Give me 5 Quote I'm almost certain it'll be a new tool, I don't see them borrowing tools after the gems they released in the past 5 years. |

Quote That's true! Damn I have had so much work with my current 744, too bad I didn't know that there will come out a state of the art 747(especially it's nose) to use for kit bashing |

Is it already known whether the 747 will be the Intercontinental or the Freighter version? The Tu-134 is good news also, I didn't even know they were about to release one. |

I saw something on a Russian forum, it should be the Intercontinental Yes the Tu-134 is a nice addition, after releasing the Il-86, the Tu-154, the Superjet and the Tu-134, the logical next step should be... Il-62 anyone |

I find it beautiful, I guess it's a matter of taste. In any case, if it's really the Intercontinental being released, you can still convert it to the Freighter using the Braz -200 upper deck, or "steal" Revell's -200 upper deck. Of course it'll be a "saw-grind-sand-test fit-grind-sand-test fit-glue-putty-cry-tear the whole b@st@rd apart-cry-grind-cry-sand-cry-test fit-cry-glue-cry-putty and sand job" |

I can't wait to have the box in my fingers.Looking forward to that beautiful B-747-800 aircraft. I hope that Zvezda's choice will be the orange, (red one). It will be a good addition to have it finished in my display case. Have fun modeling! Bert |

Quote I think you will have to choose aftermarket decals anyway as the Zvezda decals are useless in most cases (yellowing even when new). |

Maybe Danny Coremans will pump out an orange Dreamliner decal sheet for the 747-8i ? His blue Dreamliner 787-8 decal sheet is plain gorgeous ! On my side, I still have that Korean Airlines 747-400 sheet, it'll be useful when the Zvezda kit is out. |

Quote Sure, the quality/price ratio is even better than Revell, Zvezda kits being generally more detailed while cheaper. I don't know where you found your designers and engineers but... be nice and polite with them, pay them well, feed them with the finest caviar, salmon, vodka and Russian dolls, free limos, free holiday, free condos, free everything, these kit designers are worth gold |

I think that Lufthansa is assured in the 747-8. And, of course, the prototype!!! I'd love that orange giant in my collection |

Quote Gahhh, forget the Il-62, RusAir already produces one in resin. Yes a MD-11 would be great, so would be a 777 since Aeroflot also operated them. Then there's the A330. There are thankfully many many subjects Zvezda could choose from. |

Quote Mine will be Korean Air for sure, I still have that 747-400 decal sheet that I'm sure will fit. Then, there's Arik Air, not sure if they're still a customer for the type (2 or 3 on firm order) or if they'll still be alive when the type is delivered. The Tu-134 looks nice, not interested at all in the type but looking forward to any Zvezda new airliner release. |

I am going to convert it right away to a BA Oneworld 744 and I really want an 80's Sabena -300... Most likely the latter is going to be a conversion from Revell's E4... I think we are going to see a few lovely 1/144 747 models popping up in the next few years from all the members here! Let's hope the major decal makers come up with some interesting subjects as well! Quality wins! |
