Nice to see a 767-200 from Kurt at Authentic Airliners.

I was a little taken back when I saw an Airbus A330-200 listed.

Oh my poor wallet. Wow I wonder after all these 747s what could possible be next.......

      Cheers

My wallet hurts too... So many 762s I want to build. Same with the A332 and 747s.

Pics of the 762 are looking great! It's incredible how "quickly" Kurt is able to crank out these gems. It would take me a lifetime to even attempt to create the master for just one kit. The A330-200 will be sweet. It's always exciting to see what new aircraft types pop up on his preview page. I'm really hoping we see a few more 1:72 kits in the future!

Where are these pics? I don't see any on his site under, "News." Are they here at Airlinercafe?

      Thanks,

      Andy you will!
Just received the first test shot of the production 767-200 kit and it looks great, if I my say so. The kit will be available during July, just after my summer holidays in June. Also, the fuselage for the A332 is already on the workbench.

Never mind, I guess the "News" page wasn't loading properly. I can see them now. Wow... So many 762s, so little time.

Per Lex Murphyus, I'll be 73.5% done with my Revell 340 correction project when Kurt decides to do a 333/343 combination. Either that or I commit modeling sacrilege and do a 332>343 conversion with an AA kit.

      Sacrilege!

I'm thinking American, Continental and maybe Air Canada. There's the Gimli Glider to maybe do, or one of their final 762s in the toothpaste blue scheme. It looks quite striking in those colors.

      Great news !

I shall build my 767 as an Aeromexico 1999 silver livery.

The 330 are also great news..... but

when will we have an A340-500/600 from AA?

      Or

A second run of the L-1011s?????

That sure is purty. Maybe Jennings or Vintage Flyers can be talked into doing that one and a few other 762s?

I'm thinking more Vintage or 26 Decals since both have already produced twin-stripe liveries in the past.

Well, that was fast. They're sold out! I was late ordering so I only got one, likely the very last one as the site said out of stock after my order was placed, plus a 739. I hope this comes back into stock soon.

I've learned that with Kurt's kits. When they first come out you gotta get your order in ASAP as they sell very quickly--and for good reason!

A new order for a next batch of 767-200 kits had just been placed with the molding company. This time, youŽll also have the choice between CF-80 and PW engines.
Shortly, IŽll finish the A330-200 master patterns. Afterwards IŽll start a topic about building the 767-200 kit.

No, they were GE. The CF6-80A looks somewhat like the PW4000 in that the core duct is not conical, it has a bowed-out shape.

Kurt's 767-200 feature the early generation GE CF6-80A and PW JT9-7R4 engines

      GE CF6-80A operators:

      Ansett
      Delta
      American
      All Nippon
      Britannia
      Trans Brasil

PW JT9-7R4E, R4E4 and R4D (most likely identical on the outside) operators:

      CAAC
      Air China
      Qantas
      United
      TWA
      JAL
      Braathens
      Air Canada
      Pacific Western
EL AL (including the ER version)
      Ethiopian
      Egypt Air
      Kuwait (ER version)

The following 767-200 engines are differently looking:

The CF6-80 A2 was flown since production numbers
      # 78 onward with Delta
      #128 onward with American
      Air New Zealand
      Lan Chile

The first later generation CF6-80 C2 flew for Varig.

      Hope that helps to clarify.

      Cheers,
      Christian

Thanks all! I have decals for the CF-6 engined AA and CO decals. I also have decals for the F&W engined Qantas and Australian birds. Decisions decisions...

I'd only planned on getting two 762s. That may change.

The CO birds, at least the later batch, had the later 80C2 engines, just FYI.
