Hi guys, I am new to this site and I love it! Just wish I new of it earlier.
Can anyone tell me what the Entex 1/100 DC-10 kit is like? Is it worth my while to build or are there any other ones that are better in 1/144?
Thanks for looking, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Anthony(who is going to dig deeper into this site!)

Well, I have not built any of those but I know that kit quite well. It is a series 10 (with short fairings, no centre undercarriage, and short engine afterbody) and for that exact type it is accurate. Anyway some details are simplified for such a scale. With some mods it can be made into an accurate 30. I`m not sure about it but Doyusha may have updated the kit with a 30 series central undercarriage leg, however the fuselage fairings remained unchanged.

hope this helps,

For its day (original release dates back at least 20 years) the kit was very good. Even by today's standards it is a reasonably good replica of a -10. Having seen the kit both in the box and built (by a friend), if I were looking to build a very large DC-10-10 and decals of good quality for the airline of my choice in 1:100 were available, I would not hesitate to build the kit. For an accurate look, I would definitely choose the Entex DC-10 over the Airfix and Revell kits...but not over the Hasegawa kit.

Thanks very much for your help, I do feel much more informed.
Think I might look for a 1/144 one in keeping with my other ones....maybe. A large DC-10would look pretty cool though, and with a bit of extra work would look impressive.
Thanks Guys
