Had an unplanned two hour layover at Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago due to schedule changes on my way back from the States. Wow. A plane-spotters paradise. Inbound and outbound aircraft were both parked way out on the perimeter, resulting in trips across the airfield in a bendy bus playing dodgems with taxiing aircraft. Two hours sat at gate D32 with a panorama view of arrivals and departures. Like watching a real-life decal catalogue. Condor aircraft with the Snoopy characters, everything from regional jets to Lufthansa A380's. Qantas, Vietnam, Singapore, China Airlines. Fantastic. What an experience to whet the appetite. Came away with so many new ideas whizzing round my head. Now, where to start?....
