Hi Doug

Try The Aviation Hobby Shop, in West Drayton, Middx, UK.
01895 442 123. Last time I was there they had a -400,they
may have a -300. I'm pretty sure they do mail order worldwide,
worth giving them a try.

I'm afraid that the DACO 737-300/400/500 are gone now. Those of you that still have them, well, you know. I chatted with Danny a few weeks ago and he does not plan to re-release them.

So, I have asked him to consider doing a 737-700 series. But, it is much easier said than done. It takes years to plan, draw, correct, test and so on, that I would not hold my breath. So that got me thinking, that by the time the 377 is released, it will be demoted from a NG to a classic, so perhaps the 737NX should be next in line?

Why are they gone? The development of the kit's was probably expensive, so why does he stop production when he now can reap the fruit of his labour and he would benefit from amortization and can earn some money now?

I asked Danny the same question and he stated that with all the trouble having it produced in China and the hassles he went through, it kind of put him off I guess.

Wow I just assumed the DACO guppies were going to be around forever. I just hope the molds don't end up sleeping with the fishes!

Bill-Ay,

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.....Danny Coreman....you and your thoughts on him not Re-popping his 733 kit...

But at least for me I see that it's Danny's kit and he's the one who'll decide if/when to re-issue it. I'll try to encourage him for a reissue.

Hmmm maybe Revell Germany might want to reissue his 737 (a la zvezda). He can even do the decals for it!

Best regards...Duncan

Ps. I'm sure there is all kind of difficulties and headaches in releasing this kit that I am not aware of but I like to daydream anyway....

Brad...having built both the Mini and Daco, I prefer the Daco. Just looks a little better. The Minicraft, as you have shown, builds into a fine model. As with all your builds, you do any kit justice. You think it would take much to chop a 734 down to a 733?

Whatever you do, never, never, be tempted, as I was in a moment of madness, to waste your money on any of Eastern Express's over-priced pieces of junk that masquerade as 737's. The quality (if I can use that word) of the moulding is abysmal and the fit (!) of the parts an absolute joke, with wing trailing edges that make the ones on the Minicraft 777 look paper-thin. I persevered with the -300 until I finally threw up my hands in disgust and consigned it to the recycling bin. Even then, I'm sure the recycling guy did a double take and had second thoughts before allowing it aboard his truck. It's only saving grace was that I bought it cheap on eBay.

In case I didn't quite make myself clear above: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Thanks Exile! That's a pretty solid thumbs down, I'll avoid it.

Kusti, I may try with an email, I don't speak any Finnish but I can manage to type in 737. Only get airfix and revell on the site though. Thank you!

If you go to the Squadron website for Daco Products you will note that they list all three kits, however there is only a shopping cart next to the 400 series kit. Which tells me the 300 and 500 are sold out.

Probably the best suggestion there is.

Considering the Daco 737's were first released in 2005 (7 long years ago), why may I ask is everyone suddenly wanting them, is it just becasue it's not available, therefore we want it.

If a kit comes out that you really want, then get it, buy at the best price you can get at the time, but get it then, becasue no matter who releases it, it will not be around forever no matter who the manufacturer.

Yeah, that's true isn't it...
I've got about 20-25 of the DACO kits, pretty much a third of them have been build so far and most have an assigned slot for a future build and still I think I could use a few more -300's... There are so many subjects around that's why they are so popular I guess...

Quality wins!

When I spoke to Danny at Telford in November, he said he was going to do another batch late 2013. So fingers crossed he sticks to his words. I still have some 300 kits if your still looking?
