Hi Mike,

I am afraid, he is referring to the price of the kit.

This kit is casted by a more professional company,in a really nice quality, resulting in much higher prices I have to pay per unit.
At this time, orders are very disappointing. This may result in a financial disaster and, considering all recent problems with molding companies, may result in shutting down Authentic Airliners.

I have a 757 on order through AHS as I type.

I'm definitely interested in the big 727 - seriously, I want one in AA markings, and will find a way to afford one! I used to fly those LAX-CLE all the time back in the '70s and '80s, so I have great memories of them.

Hello all!

I have been absent for quite some time I know, but I am OK, just REAL busy! Just to put in a word here about these kits and Kurt's situation if I may.

I have just ordered many of his kits and will have them available quite soon. I can understand the situation that Kurt is in as I was many years ago. I would like everyone here that IS interested in his kits, big or small, please let him know! I for one love them. I have built a couple and they are a joy.

Yes, they are expensive. But consider this if you please. Go on-line, look for casting resin material as well as mold making material. They have it available at many places. Micro-Mark comes to mind. Look at the price. Then consider this. The amount of time and energy it takes to make the master. The time it takes to cast the mold, the time it takes to cast the parts, the packaging, the labor involved in preparing everything for production and so on.

Believe me, not only is this process expensive material wise, but the labor it takes to produce just one model, well, it is more than you could imagine.

Please consider my request and let Kurt know where you stand with him. I for one, would love to see his magnificent line of models to continue.

Thank you

Tom

Kurt, is the 720B currently available? The website says it is, but then when I tried to add it to my cart it said that it isn't.

Thanks,

Robert

For the quality of those kits, 75 Euros is a good price. Think about Kurt's 757, is there a cheaper way to go? Not really, when you consider all of the modifications and replacement parts you would have to make and buy. I have purchased as many kits as I can afford to from Kurt, and am looking forward to buying as many more as I can.

Keep up all of your outstanding work Kurt!!

Keep em separated!
Steve

Keep them coming, Kurt! I plan on buying every 1/144 scale kit you produce. I'll be placing an order for the 720 next week.

Tom, sorry, I know I've asked this before - and not too long ago - but: where can we reach your stock and buy from you again?
Not only I'm interested but also, I think it's quite important that people going through this thread know about it.
Regards
Eduardo

Carioca and friends.........

At the present time I am using E-bay to sell my wares. I am in the process of putting a website together and as some of you know that takes quite a while, especially when you want it to be efficient and fun to explore. So, if there is a particular item you are seeking, please send me an e-mail to [info at americanhobbysupplies dot com] or direct to me [airmodeler at cox dot net].

To list all of the two six decals would be prohibitive because I currently have nearly 500 different schemes on hand and I have most of Kurts models in stock so drop me a line and I'll be more than happy to help.

Thanks

Tom

Well, that totally sucks. I'm sorry for your troubles and I hope they get sorted out soon. PLEASE keep us informed as to when these will be available again. I've got a line on some AA 707 decals that would probably work for this project, so I am interested! Do you have a mailing or wait list for the 730B, and if so how does one get added to it?

Many thanks,

Robert
