What mixture of colors most accurately creates SWA's Canyon Blue? I am building Welsh's 1/72 737-800 and am planning to use that scheme. I typically use Model Master, but can obtain other brands of enamel if need be. TIA Dan Dan Dornseif |

Thanks Ray, Do you know where can I buy x364? I have not been able to find a place that still sells it. Cheers, Dan Dan Dornseif |

If they're out, you can also get it from a few other places, care of Google: http://www.1001modelkits.com/xtracolor-enamel-paint-47oz-cans/36642-southwest-airlines-canyon-blue-enamel-xtracolor-paint-364.html http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X364 http://www.rollmodels.net/standard/show_detail.php?hileveldesc=Civil+Airline+Colors&manufacturer=XtraColor+Enamel+Paints www.greatmodels.com used to carry the range, but they've since been bought out by www.spruebrothers.com. They may also carry it, but I couldn't find it. It couldn't hurt to email them. Robert |

Thanks Robert! I was able to find it from Tom Flynn (KLAS). I had found that most of the former stockists were sold out. I think I'm in business! Thanks again. Cheers, Dan Dan Dornseif |

I'm amazed that nobody mentioned the only airliner-dedicated hobby shop in North America - AHS, Russell Brown's Airline Hobby Supply out of Chandler, Arizona. I believe Russ stocks the complete line of Xtracolor enamel airliner paints. Gerry |

This is sooooo close to their blue!!! http://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Paint_and_Construction/TAM00085024/product.php?gclid=CJ6Dj7rSvbMCFYqZ4AodAWMAOQ I had SW paint chips and this is very, very close to a match of the color chips off a SW737 nose cone. Now decals are another story......... http://www.airlinercafe.com/photoalbums.php?albumid=265 Brad Your Mileage May Differ |

Hi Brad, Very nice!! I hope mine ends up looking something like that! I agree...that purple color is very close. I would be willing to bet that there is probably more color variance between the different WN birds on the ramp than between those two colors. I'll post pics when I have it done! Thanks and cheers, Dan Dan Dornseif |
