I am always frustrated when I see a 720/720B model without the leading edge glove between the inboard pylons and fuselage. It was huge and very noticeable, Boeing actually put ribs on top of the 707 wing a one point more than a foot high over the top surface, the leading edge met the fuselage about 18" higher than the regular leading edge and about a foot further forward. Flying magazine August 1960 I think has a detailed series of photos of this add-on. |
