I have the V1 Iron Maiden Boeing 747-400 decal in 1/200 scale. Decal looks good, but haven't as yet applied it to the model. That's always the real test of decal quality.

Question: Does the real Iron Maiden -400 have Corogard on the wing top and/or bottom, or just Boeing grey paint?

      Hi Gerry
Iron Maiden 747-400 TF-AAK has corogard on top and bottom wing surfaces, but apparently not on tail surfaces.
Top - see take-off at end of this video Ed Force One Take Off at Cardiff.
      Underside - Jet Photos.Net.
      Cheers

Hi Ben! I really enjoy your works (best proof is my last kit finished here : http://www.airlinercafe.com/photosearch.php?reg=C-GKLY ).

I have a particular request to submit to you: is it possible to produce a decals sheet for a Vietnam Ailines 777 (in the old livery like here: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Vietnam-Airlines/Boeing-777-2Q8-ER/2746865/L/&sid=5fe82dc1b1740146ac172189e4859bf3 ? I think Vietnam paint scheme is very atractive, but sadly there is no existing decals.

      Regards,

      Guillaume

That UAL Baby Boeing looks nice. I may have to add that to my order. I was the guy who emailed via Ebay a couple of weeks ago about Rouge and Westjet 767s and just forgot to actually place my order when a couple of other things intervened.

Could I perhaps interest you in doing some of Kulula's MD-80s? They had some very interesting paint jobs before going 737. Maybe some new livery Continental MD-80s, too?

      Thanks for listening,

      Bob

Hey there guys! Sorry for late reply, forgot there were no reply-notifications over here..

Iron Maiden stabs I can confirm are white on both top and bottom.

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your amazing model photos! We actually shared that First Air build over on our Facebook page, hope you don't mind, she's a real beauty Unfortunately we don't have any good ways of printing white or opaque colours yet, but sure would love to tackle that vietnam and some kulula liveries one day. We're actually planning to release some of our very first MD-80 sets very soon so stay tuned for those, and maybe we'll even be able to include the Continental livery.

      Cheers!

I'm glad you enjoy my 767, and I totally agree that you share it on your facebook page!

So bad for the Vietnam livery, but I've suspected that gold and white colors could be a problem to print!

Everything arrived safe and sound today. I'll probably start the little United Boeing this weekend. Thanks!

Will do. I'm using a Daco kit from the stash while I"m waiting on the other project, the BOAC 707, to arrive. I have a soft spot for the smaller 737s, which I flew on many times. They may not be the most economical planes out there, but they certainly look better proportioned than their longer 737 brethren.

That they do! The even more archaic 737-200s are our personal favourite lol, but maybe we just like the way they sound and smell more than anything else.
