Hello all Still busy with my 747-100 and building a (cheap) stack on 60ties birds...BUT this morning I for the first time spotted the ANA Star Wars fleet! Being a big SW fan since 1977 I started looking around. Not being too fit (yet) on 21st century planes I think I spotted a 787-9, a 777-300ER and a 777-200(ER?). I would need a bit more input on the types really used and of course on kits and especially decal availablilty. In an impulse buy Amazon will deliver a 787-9 in a couple of days. I see Revell has a 777-300ER...and there it ends. I especially like the golden C3PO version...:-) Over Tatooine ;-) ![]() Real Life ![]() thanks Uwe |

Hello again What is the general opinion on this decal distributor, please? Are those good quality decals? https://modelarstwoalexander.auctivacommerce.com/Silk-screened-decal-ANA-C-3PO-Boeing-777-200-in-scale-1144-P5782405.aspx I have researched the C3PO 777 a bit, it seems to be a 777ER with PW-4000 engines (logo on engine cowling). The engines are available from https://www.aviationmegastore.com/?action=prodinfo&art=143355 The rest is as far as I can tell right now rather simple, fuselage shortening, wings clipping and engine change. Cheapest here in Germany is the Revell 777-300ER for under 20EUR shipped! :-) Engines will double that up...but it is is still well within range. cheers Uwe |

Hi Uwe, a lot of people have lost a lot of money from this decal vendor. There a multiple discussions about this guy here in the forum. I would not recommend to order from him. Greetings Daniel Currently on the line: |

I recently ordered a set of decals from this vendor and a long wait I did actually receive them. This was my first order from this vendor and by some of the comments and threads on this forum and other sites there is no guarantee that your experience may be the same?

Hello again... Thanks for the answers... What is the general opinion on PAS Decals, please? They also offer the R2D2 scheme in 1/144...and some nice "Lord of the Rings" ones as well...something for the wife more...;-) https://www.ebay.de/itm/1-144-PAS-DECALS-ZVEZDA-BOEING-787-900-ANA-R2-D2/282891607691?hash=item41dda75e8b:g:4gkAAOSwt5hYhOif cheers Uwe |

For R2D2, I'd go with 8ADecs. LOTR from PAS is fine. You may have to trim a bit at the topside as the decals are laser printed. Alan Aronoff |

Hello all I have received a Revell 777-300ER now...looks like a great kit. Very nice details... With the C3PO decals not being available (yet) from a reliable source I think I will start with the -300ER that has the Hobbit scheme since my wife likes it a lot. I have ordered decals from PAS...both LOTR and the R2D2 sheet. The C3PO will be done at a later time then. A question on the Minicraft 777-200, is it any good or am I better off cutting down a Zvedzda/Revell 300ER? I see that the UA version even comes with P&W engines already. thanks Uwe |

Hi I do not have an Minicraft 777-200, was just asking since they offer a -200 with P&W engines. I have the Revell -300ER and it's a beautiful kit. I also since an hour have a set of P&W engines from Bra.Z. that will go into storage. Once the C3PO decals become available I will cut such a kit up to generate a -200. For now I will just build a -300ER out of the box and make it a "Hobbit" plane for my wife! She is a big LOTR fan...:-) cheers Uwe |

Uwe, I used a set of MC PWs on a Revell 773. They work. But you're better off using the BraZ engines when you decide to do the conversion. Viel spass! Alan Aronoff |

I found them on E-bay from this seller. Don't know the full story here. But there appears to be the seller/producer from Europe and this seller from Brazil. I have had no problems getting them off there and pretty fast service coming from Brazil. He does have some really nice one of kind colorful liveries available. Here's the E-bay link. https://www.ebay.com/sch/kosciuv/m.html?item=173316618287&hash=item285a79b82f%3Ag%3AqVEAAOSwfpBaYpCK&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 |
