      Yep......

I'll take a couple of CS100's and CS300's (if they're any good) and throw in some 717's for good measure.......
Now only one problem remains....how to get them past "she who must be obeyed"......

      Cheers,

      ...and a City Hopper F.27-500
      and a Finnair DC-9-50
      and a Dart Herald
      and a JAL MD-11
      and a Northwest DC-9-40

I have to increase my budget for 2018!

      Sven

P.S. EE has a huge variety of different 144 scale airliners,
from classic to modern with different decal schemes.
Revell has only 10 types in 13 various liveries.
Beside the Concorde and the 727-100 reissue no classics!
      Too bad!

We can only judge by our own experience. After paying good money for the heap of pirated rubbish that is the Eastern Express A318 I swore I'd never buy another of their kits. I gave in when the MD-11 arrived and paid a significant amount of good money for a kit that looked nice in the box but turned out to be near enough unbuildable unless you are blessed with levels of skill and persistence much greater than mine. In spite of everything I bought a re-bagged Shorts 330 from Ray Charles of 26 Decals because I particularly wanted to build a 330 and he was selling it at a slightly more sensible price. Even at Ray's price the quality of the kit is far short of what I would expect for a model of a relatively small aircraft selling for about the same as a Revell Boeing 787. (There is an obvious comparison with the Roden DC-3 which is in a different league in terms of quality).

It will be interesting to see what the new kits are like but I have enough Airfix DC-9s and 10s, Minicraft MD-80s and Doyusha F-27s to keep me building and converting for a very long time.

I'll give the DC10-30 a go to replace my Revell. I was impressed with their AN22 and MD-11. The MD-11 was a bit of a bear to build but worth the effort. I heard the 737's were pretty bad.

Prices from the EE do not promise to be "available". In short, not model-airplane enthusiast friendly policy.

I see the boxes claim "new tooling". I wonder if that means they've copied Daco instead of Minicraft?

Oh good grief...will it be as expensive as the new AA kit? EE really need to do something about their prices or set a recommended retail price. There's a big variation from sellers on eBay.

However, it is good to see the Trident finally getting the attention.

I'll stick with Kurts trident, with AA you know what you get. Plus they announce tons of kits and they take ages to be released.
Since they obviously copy all Airfix stuff now, I would bet a B727 is next...

      Interesting view - I don't remember Airfix having a Dash-8, Shorts Skyvan, 330, 360, MD-87, MD-80, B717, Fokker F27, Fokker F50, B777, MD-11 in their catalogue.
Some of EE new kits (Dash-8, McDD T-tails) have been of very high quality.
And if you think other manufacturers design, produce and mould a kit in a week, then you're deluded. How long do you think AA were working on the Trident? A couple of days? Just because they didn't tell everyone about it doesn't mean they produced it in a couple of weeks.

      B737-200
      BAC 1-11
      Trident

copying is simply in their philosophy. DACO, Minicraft, etc.

Quality high? Dude, no offense, its ok, not high. And even if the injection quality is good, what about the too small F27, the messed 757, that ugly A318, and so on. High is what tamiya does.
i know AA quite well and, since i also supplied him with parts, i m well aware, how long things can take.

Rhetorically, if not ethically, if EE want to do some `useful' copying, may I suggest the Minicraft DC-4? These are getting very rare.
And can A Model hurry up with a Dash 7 (not that they have ever announced one).
Roden.. where is your Convairliner? I want to know if it is any good!

This is the answer to your question.

And, "Oops!...I Did It Again". i.e. the length of the Boeing 735 is 31 m. / 144 = it should be 21.52 cm.. After all of this, you call it a direct copy of Daco?

      P.S. Photo is not mine.
