      Art, people often don't care for one's treasures, and I also know it's hurtful as hell!

      I hoarded a wonderful set of printed modelling references that I ended up -- well, not burning, but all the same... you know...
      Prize among them were diverse Aeroflot leaflets I'd gathered over the decades from their office in Piccadilly, London. Some fancy stuff among them. Tu-144 shots you'd never dream were possible, pedestrian but informative views of An-24s, amazing photos of other everyday types.
      I also had a Swissair book that cost (it said so inside the front cover) 1 pound 19 shillings back in 1962 (call it GBP 2), which was a king's ransom then -- worth a good day's wages -- the equivalent of perhaps GBP 100 today... Amazing black and white photography! A frozen Convair Coronado, lovely CV440s, fantastic DC-7Cs... One or two brand-new DC-8s... You guessed: no interest!

      The internet is killing print, and we have to live with that. Yeah, it hurts...
