Have not posted here in a while. Health issues… resolved… and simply not done anything civilian is ages. Found a Hasegawa 1/200 DC-3 in the back of a closet and figured what the heck.

The Draw Decals went down just fine. Super thin and strong. Green was not what I expected and since there wasn’t anything on the sheet for the nose, I struggled getting a decent match for the green. Custom mixes failed miserably. Was about to give up when I found an old jar of Tru-Color Vermont Green. Close enough for reasonable scrutiny.

Depicting an aircraft that flew over the Midwest in the late 40’s/early 50’s, a farm field base seemed appropriate.

This is a great looking model! I especially like the base you put together to display it. The farm fields image is an excellent idea!
      Have fun modeling!

Dave. Mike... Thanks. Filling the panel lines and all the sanding was a real PITA but glad I did it.
