Quote I believe we can be sure and expect it will not be a down scaled clone and some rivets were placed wrong. Neither 1000% perfect nor 100% accurate. It is and remains only a 144-scale model kit. Nothing more - nothing less. Anyway, I'm glad RODEN finally comes up with a Convair kit and I'm really really looking forward. The same for the FW-200. Let's wait and see... ...and let's count the mistakes when it's on the market. Sven |

Indeed...great news on the Convair!! I'm curious if they will offer different options on the nose cones. The tiny pictures on the website show a "pug nosed" CV340 (looks like Linjeflyg in the picture). The military CV131B photo shows the bigger radar nose cone. Then there are the other two radar nose cones (the small cone and the "nipple nose" cone.) I really look forward to the Convair. A subject LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGG overdue! The FW200 and the B307 are nice adds as well!! |

What about Authentic Airliners CV-340? In my eyes it is really nice. 3 nose options included. I am saying this even by prefering injection kits ... :-) Uwe |

Authentic Airliners is a 440.They also have a 240 and a 580.The 440 and 240 is great.Im sure the 580 is too,but I dont have one of those. I hope Roden does have the different radar noses. Sparky |

I can tell you that the Authentic 440 is a very nice kit (I have three of them). But to convert it to 340 I´d ask Kurt first what have to be done to make it right. Maybe not very much (I can't remember at the moment all the differences) but anyway... If you want a decent 340. Kusti |

Photo shows a Condor in military colors... hope that they release a civil version at the same time. In the past, Eduard first released a military versions of the JU-52... and a civil version some years later... Luiz Claudio |

Sorry, my fault. The CV by AA I built was the CV-440 (Lufthansa), of course. :-) Uwe |

F-Resin has the Martin 202-404,not the Convairs. The only difference externally in the 440 and 340 are the exhaust stacks and the front of the cowlings have smaller openings. Sparky |

The hinges varied between carriers.Looks like they might have come with the 440,but were retrofitted to 340s.Some early 340s had a door that opened out and slid forward. Sparky |

@ Kusti You are right. Even a Welsh one (Swissair version - full Vacu) is in my stash. Since the AA one I think I will never build it.... Uwe |
