BA repainted some of their aircrafts in retro liveries
      due to their 100 anniversary.

      Did I missed some years?
AFAIK BA was founded in 1935/36
and - to be honest - in their current form
      established just in 1974.
And 1936 was noted as well
in our trainee course when I started to work with BA.

The earliest predecessor to what is today BA started operations in 1919. Google works like magic.

Yeah! I asked Mrs. Google as well and she told me 1935.
It's amazing! Mrs. Google knows everything.
She's a very smart Lady. In fact a miracle.

Including all predecessors but didn't operate as British Airways brand before.
If all earlier and earliest forerunners of any airline are included
several dozen airlines could celebrate their 100 anniversary.
      They could, but they don't.
BA's 100 years are very very generous calculated but not correct.

The real 100th airline anniversary is KLM this year!

BTW: Has KLM a special 100th anniversary livery (planned)?
      That one looks great:

      or that for 787:

I recommend if it bothers you that much, you get a job with BA and work your way up to senior management so you can prevent this kind of outrage from happening again.

Meantime, either get over it, or donít. It costs you nothing, and it has NO impact on your life in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Iím tired of all the ceaseless whining about this. If you donít like their airplanes, donít look at them or fly on them. Problem solved.

      The right explanation is here:

      https://www.flugrevue.de/zivil/landor-negus-boac-bea-geschichte-der-retro-lackierungen-british-airways/

They don't celebrate British Airways jubilee
but the 100th anniversary of british commercial aviation in general.

      That makes sense. 👍
