Our 1/144 737NG project is officially airborne! And just for giggles, we've added the Aeroflot weather reconnaissance Il-28ZA Beagle in both 1/72 and 1/48 (for the beautiful new Bobcat Beagle). The NGs are all highly detailed and complete markings for Continental/United (1991-2019), Delta (2007 to date), American (classic red/white/blue and Astrojet), and our favorite, Southwest's Canyon Blue scheme (2001-2014). Each sheet will allow you to do any of the various types of NGs flown by the respective airlines, including lots of variations, and in most cases the unique styles of registration letters/numbers (nothing generic here!). Southwest even includes the "nose art" carried by a number of their airplanes.

In addition, we've done a reboot of our 737NG safety/maintenance data stencil and general airframe markings, with updates to bring them right up to current day. Done from original Boeing factory documentation and scads of photos.

They're at the printer now, and we hope (and expect) to have them back in time for the IPMS/US nationals in Chattanooga in early August. Stay tuned for more info!

Cartograf's shipment just arrived, and you probably heard me whooping and hollering as I was jumping up and down in the living room

As usual, Cartograf's color matching is *dead* on the money, and the printing is perfect!

Jonathan will have all of them for sale at the IPMS/USA Nationals in Chattanooga starting tomorrow, and on our web site the first of next week after he gets home and takes a couple of breaths.

Are the tail and winglet pieces for the United/Continental 737NG shaped and sized to fit the Zvezda kit? or the Revell kit with corrected winglets? or will trimming be needed in either case?

      Whoo hoo!!!

I love the announcement that they just arrived and will debut at the IPMS Nationals the next day. There's a good Clint Groves Bob Woodling story of his Rareliners Metro kit. Pretty sure that Clint advertised having the kit at the 1992 Airliners Convention and there was a "rush" to make sure they were available.

I know Fundekals does "one and done" print runs, but it may be wise to plan an additional run for at least a couple of these schemes. I predict they will be massively popular, especially in the case of a certain 737-centric airline whose liveries are famously near-impossible to find in decal form.

Looking forward to seeing these in person. I've already got a Zvezda 737-700 on the counter waiting....

Zvezda only. Revell's kit is so wrong in so many ways, and the Zvezda kit is so much better and more accurate, it would be a waste to make stuff fit the Revell kit.

Jodie, I pray you are correct! If you're going to Chattanooga (or are in fact already there), have Wally comp you some of the Continental/United sheets as a thank you for your help on those colors.

Jennings, I had to stay in SC due to some work things that got sprung on me at the worst possible moment. Ralph is there, however, and I sent money with him along with orders to bring home some 737 decals.

      Decals look great!

I'm new to airliner models. What is NG with the 737 designation? I mainly focus on 1950s era, and the ships of the 70s - 2010s I know little about.

737-600, 700, 800, 900 birds are considered NG or Next Generation types of this venerable bird.

I've got them on order..... will put them up on my site just as soon as I have prices and can create suitable images.

JH - could you contact me please at airlinehobby@cox.net . Need to discuss the AA Retro decals you did for Alan years ago (I have a box full of them), and the 737NG detail sheets you did for me. I'd be betting both were created for the Revell kit, would like to have that confirmed please.

      Thanks!

Russ - I'd toss those out. They were done from period photos, and are woefully inaccurate (plus they're for the Revell kit). I didn't re-use any of the artwork from that sheet for the new one.

Everything back then was done for the Revell kit, since that's all there was.

Now having possession of the CO and WN livery sheets and the detail sheets, and having inspected them up close, I can say an awful lot of people are going to be very happy with these. A hearty "well done" to all involved.

Bought mine this weekend in Chattanooga!! WWWOOOOOWWWW! They are THE nicest decals I have EVER seen...bar none. Designed with skill and precision, printed sharply without flaw, straight lines are surgically straight, and the colors are eye catching gorgeous!! Nice going! Really appreciate all who were involved in bringing this superior product to us airliner types!

      Hi Jennings,

Great work. I will need a United Airlines set for a 737-700 I am planning.

In the spirit of it is never enough, any chance for a United Airlines 737-9Max? It is not a straight cheat line but a curved one similar to the United 787. It appears that your decals capture the gold color best. And then, eventually, a United Airlines 737-10Max would be cool too? I don't think that we know what that looks like yet.

      Thanks again,

      Mark

      Boy, I am with Challenger350Pilot!

Jennings, you did an absolutely fantastic job on these 737NG decals and clearly went to huge lengths to get everything painstakingly accurate. Absolutely TOP NOTCH!!!

      Hi all---
I would like to get the SW 737 decals but I 'm not sure where to buy these. I'm a new modeler. My grand daughter has cherished a small SW 737 cast plane since she was little. Right now we are building 1/144 together and we want to do two SW 737s.

Where can i find these that you all are talking about?

      Andy,

The scheme shown above is available from Funk Decals here:

      http://www.fundekals.com/LU_Southwest.html

Note that it is the Canyon Blue scheme, the one prior to
current. Should you want to do the current scheme, find it
      here:

      http://www.8adecs.com/v2/site/cgi-bin/fdecals.pl?opc=show&id=580

Have fun building with your granddaughter.

      Guys,
When you ad the SW airlines decal to the cart
It adds it as a Continental decal.
Jonathan Itís fixing it but for now make sure you donít order
      SW and get Continental.

I am also so looking forward to those gorgeous
      Decal schemes

      Walter

P.S. J please do carry on with the Max decals, the real plane
Has issues but the kit doesnít!!

Those look outstanding! I don't get paid 'til the end of the month, but when I do I'm in for some Continental decals. THe instructions look great, too.

So do you get copyright permission/license for reproducing these colours schemes and if so what percentage of the price does it account for? Are there any restrictions on how many you print etc?

I think this is not the place to ask those sort of questions maybe. Us modellers are not concerned about it.
Business and trade information I suspect is private.

      Just in my humble opinion.

      Cheers

My condolences on the passing of your mother. I was going to reply to a Facebook post, but until now I've never been sure if "Jennings" and "Butch" are the same person. Now I know!
