$550 million sounds very little. It's the value of five brand new A320neos. https://www.airbus.com/newsroom/press-releases/en/2018/01/airbus-2018-price-list-press-release.html

So many planes, so little time ...

So, is the C Series/A220 now an all-Airbus show? I've been out of the commercial aviation loop for a while. I knew the CRJ series was becoming obsolete and they've done all there is to do with the Dash-8.

It's both! Without aviation you wouldn't have anything to model.

My opinion as a traveler, they are horrible planes. Stiff wing making for a very bumpy ride and a cramped, claustrophobic, business jet cabin. Surprised Mitsubishi bought them out, it's probably for other reasons than the planes. Give me an Embraer 175/195 any day!

      Regards,

At first I thought the article a little misleading talking about the Airbus Boeing duopoly. I thought that Embraer would also be considered a "big player". I must have missed the news that Boeing bought an 80% stake in Embraer. That's quite a coup for Boeing.

So yea Bombardier bails on civil aviation. They've also sold all of the de Havilland Canada business to Viking. I see that Boeing had de Havilland Canada from 1986 to 1992 before selling to Bombardier.

Interesting turn of events through the years.

Yep a continued Airbus Boeing duopoly. Stay tuned.. I'm sure there will be more twists/turns in the business.

You must have missed the category this thread is in. “Civil Aviation and Airplanes”

So, aviation news as you call it, fits right in!

As Ahmed said, this site is for both.

      Keep em separated!
