An early shout out for July with the annual Airliners International show. This year we will try a group build theme of Airliners of Arizona. It's now 2020 and the clock has started ticking for July. America West, Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines (even though they are Nevada based), and Arizona One all come to mind as suitable builds. Any questions/comments contact me on or off list.

I registered for this in 2019 and am really looking forward to it.

I happened to be in Orlando years ago and stumbled on the AI Convention on a Saturday and remember buying lots of things.

This will be my first Ďfullí convention.

      Canít wait.

Air West and Hughes Air West are two other carriers that come to mind.

Iíll probably venture up for at least one day. I try to stay as far away from the greater Phoenix area as possible though! Itís like LA, but with no ocean, and hotter. And dustier.

In case others were not notified, the Airliners International Show that was originally scheduled for July 8-10, 2020 in Tempe, Arizona has been cancelled and rescheduled for July 7-10 of 2121. Unfortunately, this show became another casualty of the pandemic, but at least it wasn't cancelled outright.

Thanks for the reminder/notification in "closing" the thread. I did start a new message about having an online model contest that I/we should have something setup in a couple of weeks. The AI contest was scheduled for July 11th which will be the end of the online contest.

      Stay tuned and keep building.

Please donít call it that. Thatís not what the virus is called. Youíre just feeding into the right wing narrative with that.

And this isnít about me. Youíre being a jackass. I hope Ahmed will ban you from the site if thatís the way you choose to act.

Whoa! Covid 19 isn't a red state or blue state thing. It kills indiscriminately. To call it anything else is not very funny especially since our brethren in the airline industry may very well lose their jobs come October.

Back on topic, Hughes Air West DC-9-10 for the contest.

I missed reading the details in MrMD11's post or I would have paused before replying initially.

The official word from Airliners International is that the show is postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I appreciate reading Jennings and Mark's reasonable comments.

      Ken

It is with great disappointment we announce that we
are postponing Airliners International 2020 PHX
      until July 7-10 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting global health and
our beloved travel industry in many ways. We had hoped
that domestic and worldwide travel restrictions would
have eased by July, but it looks like they will still be
in force in the majority of the world. If we were to try
to operate AI this year, the reduced attendance would
be a financial disaster for the AI 2020 PHX committee.

Out of respect to certain individuals on this forum, I have changed the term to pandemic as it truly is. My apologies to the moderator ( Ahmed ) and to the moderator only.
