      Hi there,

I found on eBay a couple of 1:400 kits that were made years ago by Hasegawa and Dragon and have been enjoying the challenge of modifying these tiny models with extended flaps etc. in such a small scale. There are a few additional kits I would love to have. Please contact me if you have any of these and are interested in parting with them:

      - 747-400 - any livery. I only know of Hasegawa models with GE engines. If there are others with P&W engines, I'm all ears.

      - 777 - any versions

      - A330-200. I'm only aware of a Dragon kit with Canada 3000 decals and GE engines. If there's one with P&W engines I'd love to have it.

      - DC-10-30.

PS: I am only aware of the following models having been produced by Hasegawa/Dragon in this scale: 747-400 (GE), 777-200, 777-300 (non-ER), A340-200, A340-300, A330-200 (GE), DC-10-30 (GE), DC-10-40 (PW), A319 (CFM), A320 (CFM & IAE), A321 (CFM). If you know of any others, please let me know. I'd love to have a 767 or a 737 of any kind.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi Gene,

Thanks, I have the A320/321. The Canada 3000 A330-200 to my knowledge has GE engines. Does the kit also come with the P&W engines?

I know its the wrong scale but there's a 1/300 scale 767. I went down the 1/300 scale rabbit hole a number of years back. Still looking for a 737 in that scale. Zhengdefu boxed a kit as a 1/160 1/300 scale 737 but when one opens the box there is a 1/300 scale 777 with a 737 tail inside. Craziest false advertising I've seen in the kit so far.

I found this pic of a Dragon catalog in an eBay listing:

Seems there also was a Malaysia A330-300 (PW) and a China Southern A330-200 (RR). So between these and the Canada 3000 it should be possible to make all versions.

Can't help you but I did a quick Ebay scan. Yikes...Currently people are asking "funny money" for 1/400 Boeing widebodies. Looks like some sold for reasonable prices back in July. Hopefully some more will come up soon or somebody else can help you out.

      Ken,

Yeah, I noticed some of the prices on eBay are outrageous. Then again, in most of those cases they offer free shipping from Japan, which is astronomical right now because the cheap EMS shipping options have become extremely unreliable as a result of COVID restrictions.
