Sharing a positive nudge for 2021 and trying to stay optimistic about things. Airliners International is rescheduled to July 7-10 2021 at Mission Palms Resort Tempe Arizona. Model contest with the usual categories. Group build airliners of Arizona. https://www.airlinersinternational.org/

Ooooh, might have to go if the 'rona subsides by then. What are some good Arizona themes, a Southwest Arizona scheme 737? Looks like they did a 300 and then a 700 in that one. I still need to get to the California One scheme at some point....

Off the top of my head here are some Arizona airlines/themes. LH707 already mentioned Southwest's Arizona One. America West comes to mind. Mesa Airlines was Arizona based at one point. Bonanza also Arizona based. With the Bonanza connection Air West and Hughes Airwest might even fit in. Though based in Las Vegas Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines would definitely work. McCulloch Airlines was also based out of state but flew charters to Arizona to encourage people to buy property.

Oh, totally forgot about AW. I might have to do a Flintstones A319, or maybe this one:

My Arizona-themed build is 85% done, just waiting for me to get off my lazy rump and finish the pesky details.

Never put off for tomorrow what can dry overnight
