      hi folks,

i have a little issue here... first i thought its me, but now i am pretty sure something is wrong with the decal.
The title on the old Gulf air livery are golden with a black edging. thats what all reference photos say.

the decal has two parts for it, a black one and a golden one which have to be overlapped and aligned.
this means the black one has to be larger than the inner golden one right???? on the LU decal it is the other way round... does anyone know if there has been a correction or if there is another solution?
      kind regards

Hi There, if you look back at pictures of Gulf Air A320s around 2003, some have gold fuselage titles whereas some others have titles in black. I think perhaps that the decal designer was giving you both these options.

I'm certain Jennings Helig can bring clarity to your dilemma. Hopefully he will chime in.

      Hey All,
how are the chances that three versions of the titles existed?

At least this (sad) image proofs Flaptrack right about the black outlines.

I can only find the older titles with a completely different font. All other photos indicate a golden title with black edges.

Bear in mind that I did that 25 years ago (!?!?!), but as delivered, Gulf Air's first A320s had dark grey titles with gold outlines.

oh don't get me wrong, that wasn't ment as an offence... do you have any reference pictures? cause i have seen that the early gulf air 320s had gold outlines but a complete different font.
all material i could find was an inverted scheme.

From 25 years and one total loss house fire ago, nope. Not a single one. But I'm 100% positive if you look on Airliners.net or the other photo sites you'll find them.

FWIW, the Revell B767 kit # 04217 had GULF AIR titles in grey outlined in gold.

Could be, but when I did that artwork that was the newest thing out there.
