Why would anyone pay that much for a EE kit?
Yes I know, some guys don't like resin but there is nothing
like an Authentic Airliners 747-SP, nothing!

Disappointed about the price. Starting to get a little tired of paying premium prices for a kit with no locator pins and laser decals...

      Best regards...Duncan

Welsh also has an amazing SP
I am going to pass on the EE kit.
I do need a Braniff 1/100 SP decal though!

Nearly $100 for an injection molded 1/144 airliner kit? At that price I'd rather get the AA kit---which I will when they are in stock!

      Wow !!!

Looking very forward to this new release. I have nothing but good memories from the last EE kits I bought and started fiddling (A220, MD-11, MD-87).

Price is high yes but I have no doubts it will lower, especially if ordered in Russia. Besides, I have been told 26 Decals will release this kit with its own nice decal sheets.

Now, bring on the Rollers versions .

I have already ordered a new batch of SP kits. It will also be available wit RR engines from Sergey. Additionally, I will reduce the price to 125,00Ä and still free of shipping cost. For those guys who absolutely don't build resin well they have to go the EE way......

Actually, the same thing happened with the release of EE's nice DC-10 kit, the very 1st boxes were sold on eBay quite close to USD90, now they can very easily be bought for less than USD40 in Russia.

The same price reduction should be noted with this 747SP kit in a matter of weeks. Cannot wait, I have Iraqi Airways or SAA vibes...

      Cheers, Stephane

Of course, the EE 747SP is hot just from the oven, but soon the casts will cool down and the price will drop.

I needed to buy two, one for me, one for Christmas present. I countered offered on Ebay with $65.00 per kit and EE countered with $90.00 per kit explaining taxes prohibited them from going any lower. I accepted but then they were going to charge me $48.00 shipping for two models and they won't arrive until Jan- Feb. I cancelled the order.

I just got the latest newsletter from modelist.ru in Moscow. They have the EE747SP kit available for 5376 rubles/70USD/53GBP. I have bought from them several times and are completely reliable.

Hmmm, USD70 leans towards the acceptable side AFAIC. Ordering 2 kits this afternoon. Thank you for the tip !

Iím holding out for the 26 models boxing of the SP. If Iím going to spend that much for a model I might as well get some usable decals for it too!
