Hi All, A few weeks ago, I started doing a master for an MD-80 kit scale 1/72. The DC9 family will be continued with a DC9-30 kit. I have now finished the tailplanes. The first picture shows the vertical stabiliser. ![]() This topic will soon be continued with some more pictures. Kurt |

Here is the stabiliser which consists of 5 separate parts. You will be able to build it with deflected elevator and trim tabs. ![]() |

Two more impressions from the tailplanes. ![]() ![]() It will now take a few weeks before I can add further pictures. I am waiting for the 3D printed fuselage and wings which are done by my casting company " Minimanfactory". Though it is a clone of my 1/144 kit the 3D printed parts needs a lot of surface work. The core engines are now finished. I still have to add the pylons. You see it here in comparison to the smaller 1/144 engine. The 1/72 engines are completely scratch build, mainly from balsa wood. ![]() A few days ago, I received the fuselage parts. This is how they look coming straight from the 3D printer. I already started to work on some of the holes of the tail piece. ![]() Kurt |
