      Hello to everybody,

About 8 years ago, during my 1st trip to America (I was 17yo, travelling alone, my how deeply impressed I were , who wouldn't be so ?), I visited the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. GREAT museum, fantastic aircraft expo.

I bought a few airliner books as well as a nice PAPER MODEL, a FedEx Boeing 727-100, 1/72nd scale if I recall.

Does anybody know where to find such paper model ? Or maybe the maker of this impressively detailed paper model ?

I gave the built up FedEx 727 to my cusin and would like to build a second one.

Many thanks for your help !

      Regards, Brend

      Selamat Datang !

      Hi,

If these are the ones I think they are, the scale is 1/48. There was a Fedex 727-100, and a PSA and a Delta 727-200. They came out 16 or more years ago... I'd love to find the PSA again.

      Take care,
      Kurt

      Hey guys,

I beleive they are. I bought one on eBay, a Delta 727-200, magnificent piece of kit. I missed the PSA version, anyway it was starting to be expensive (US$ 86.00)...

      Regards, St?phane

Yeah, I built the PSA too. I purchased mine at the Smithsonian Air & Space museum back in 1992. It is a long-shot, but you could try them.

Hi JB190, I ran over to their webstore and didn't see these listed. But you do give me hope that somewhere, in some obscure shop, there are some of these just waiting to be found.

      Thanks,
      Kurt

Sorry, I should have read your post more carefully. I think I might have the original box back at my folks place. I will try to see if I can find it when I go back to visit them next month.

Hi JB190, You mean you didn't build yours?? I'd gladly buy it from you. You're talking about the whole kit, not just the box, right?

      Thanks,
      Kurt

No, sorry GigGiraffe. I built the kit but I do not believe I threw out the box it was packaged in.

I am traveling to my folks place next week and will look around to see if I can find the box and discover who the manufacturer is.

I am sorry to say that the box has been tossed into the trash. When this was done is not certain.

Hey JB190, thanks for looking anyway! I sure know how that goes -- things falling by the wayside as the years go by.
      Best regards,
      Kurt

Hi all. What a coincidence, back in May of 1997, I too purchased the FedEx boeing 727 kit at the Smithsonian Institute, at Washington D.C...just hope to get around purchasing and building Delta version.
