      You've probably all heard by now, JAL is the newest customer for the 7E7. The news release is here: http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2004/q4/nr_041222g.html I think it looks pretty slick and elegant. Looks like the shark tail is still around.

      Supposedly another 75 7E7s are on order by the Chinese airlines, just awaiting government approval. If they can do it this year, that will bring the total 7E7 orders close to the projected 200.

      So that's 60 to ANA and 50 to JAL, 30 firm for both.

      75 for the Chinese airlines would be a nice boost. A while ago there were also rumours of AF, KL and NW studying a joint order for the 7E7. That sure would be sweet, but I don't know what I have to believe of this, since all three airlines are/ will be A330 operators. But KLM never was a hardcore Airbus operator, they have only had 12 in their history.
