Ok, this is an updated post of the original one. There is an easier way to get images or thumbnails in your forum post.
To insert an image simply click the "My files" link at the bottom of the text box. This will open your Personal File Space. In your PFS, locate the file/picture you want in the forum post. Next to the file name you will see two icons: a green one and a blue one. If you click on the green one it will put a thumbnail in the forum. Click on the blue one and you will get the actual image in the post. It's as easy as that.

Note: if the file is big, please put a thumbnail in the post, otherwise it might take too long for the post to open for people with a regular modem connection.

      Regards,

      Hi Bert,
To get an image in your signature. Go to your profile and in the signature box put a link to the image in your folder. It has to start with an image tag like this [ img] and end with an end tag like this[ /img]. So final version would look something like this:
      Code:
      [img]data/users/your file name.jpg[/img]
You can view the file name once you open that folder. All file names start with your user number. In your case it is 63. So all your files will be 63-. A file that is 41kb should not be used for signature. It is too big and will slow everything down for people with a modem connection. See if you can optimize it to around 10K at most. Let me know if you need help.

If the picture resides on another server (ie. another website) you can simply use the image tag as so:

      Code:
      [img]http://www.somewebsite.com/images/filename.jpg[/img]

Of course you will need to know the absolute path to that image in order to put it between the image tags
      Code:
      [img][/img]
      .

One more thing, in the tags [tag] there should be no spaces. I just put spaces there to show you the image tags.

      Regards,

      ahmed
