      Hi All,

I wanted to let everyone know that Vintage Flyer Decals is fully up and running again. All decals are now being printed using our new digital precision silkscreen printer!

In addition, I’d like to announce the first new release of the year. It is:

Santa Fe Skyway DC-3 in the final color scheme

Images and prices are up on the newly updated website, www.vintageflyerdecals.com. In addition, there’s a sneak preview of upcoming sheets.

      Thanks,

      Mike

Digital precision silkscreen? Can you please elaborate? I'm curious how it works. Thanks.

The new printer is a state of the art, digital silkscreen printer that has the added ability to precisely cut (or scribe around) any decal artwork or create precision painting masks (which are now included in a number of my sheets) to aid the modeler in building a more perfect model.

In addition, the unit also prints at a much higher resolution than laser, inkjet or Alps printers.

Prints? Does that mean that there are no real screens used?

      I second that!
I have received Mike´s 1/72 B727 American Airlines decals produced with his new equipment/technique - and they are amazing!

Yes. The decals have all the advantages of silk screen printing but with better resolution, better registration and no messy screens.

Mike's decals were great from the start,
I can not imagine how you improve on that!

Keep the good old classics coming Mike!
