Who is the maker? Looks like a fairly well detailed kit and make a good model.

Looks great in the photos. Should fit nicely between my An-124 and IL-76. This raises my hopes that their forthcoming Tristar will meet the same standard!

      Best regards....Duncan

Got my kit in the mail today. WOW! I'm **very** impressed! The surface detail is easily the equal of Revell, Airfix, etc. Nicely detailed cockpit, landing gear, engine nacelles, etc. All in all a really, really nice package.

The only drawback I see thus far is that the blue for the cheat lines, rudders, etc seems to be on the bright "electric" blue side. Photos of the real thing seem to show a more subdued blue color, but perhaps it's just the light. It was good of EE to include the metallic silver heating cuffs for the prop blades on the decal (32 of them).

Overall a *very* nice kit. Now, about that Tu-114...

      Greetings!

I see one other drawback. The propellers are wrong. The forward prop should turn the American way, while the rear one should turn the British/Russian way. They got it backwards. It can be corrected though, with a little careful work.

Still, it looks like a great kit.

      Regards,
      Jeff Jarvis

I wonder how many people would ever notice that, and thus whether its worth the bother of fixing it (certainly not for me).

Jennings, I AM surprised. You nitpick LOTS of things that most people would likely never notice (and I'm glad you do), and to me, this one with props rotating the wrong way is glaringly obvious. I went looking for comments on this kit, found this thread with the photos and noticed it right away, but I'm still going to buy the kit anyway because it does look superb otherwise.

I got mine from PAS and was very pleased with the kit. Get one while the exchange rate is still good!

As far as the electric blue decals, I think it represents the newer colors and not the faded old blue from the soviet times. Maybe it would look better in the camouflage scheme anyway?

I didn't realize the contra-rotating props were not properly done. An important detail because that's what makes this plane so cool!

In this last thread, after all the photos of the model, there is a shot of a guy holding a sign beside the nose of a 1:1 airplane. On the nose of the plane, between the lower nose glass and the bigger chin radome, there is a raised area with what appears to be a six-panel accordian-type door. What is that? I had never noticed it before. Is it a covering for a sensor or camera?

      Thanks
      Mike

I got my Cock form PAS the other day.
Let me tell you, great service!
What a great kit. It sure is ugly to me, but I wish I could have seen one in person.
Thanks for the link Eugine. Great Cock pictures!!!
The nose on the kit looks a tad off. What you all think?

It is called PNK-22 (Прицельно-навигационный пилотажный комплекс Купол-22) - Target-sighting and navigation complex "Dome 22")
Behind this louvers there is a glass-covered camera sight

      Best regards,
