Life just gets more bizarre every day, doesn't it? That's what happens when P(olitically)C(orrect) meets key letter combination without rational logic injected into the equation.

I'm just glad to see that you're making so many different decals available again, especially for such a neat subject. Now, if I refuse to use PP, is there another way I might purchase said material?

Regards,
Jeff Jarvis

HOLY COW!
My Air Koryo decals arrived today and they are Fantastic to say the least. First of all the shipping package was 1st class all the way. Decals were safe and secure, while the USPS got them to me with lighting fast service.

First look the decals are thin, very well printed, accurate, and well worth the asking price.

The challenge for "Me' the modeler is to get the white/gray separation line laid down perfectly on the fuselage. Not much room for a wiggle here.

Bravo Jennings and Fundekals for making this project happen.

oh ... my ... GOODNESS!!! I've just now this morning caught up on the orders for the IL-62s!! Actually, there are a few that came across yesterday that will be going out tomorrow morning. Will catch up with PP tonight -- as long as the NSA will let me. Glad everyone is getting their decals in fine shape.

Posting is easy. You need someplace to host your images. There are many such services, but I've been very happy using www.postimg.org for several years. You simply sign up, upload your images, then copy and paste the image URL (from the postimg.org upload site) into the 'img' function in the forum (the picture of the palm tree above).

If anyone does get an Il-62 done using the decals, please let us post the pics in the fundekals web site gallery section!

That should be the last resort. Everyone here at the 'Cafe gets enough space to upload and display their photos here. The system automatically creates the thumbnails for you, it's easy to insert into the Forum posts as well, as well as displaying them in the Gallery. Please go through the FAQ section to learn how it's done. Thanks.

Hi Duncan,

where did you bought it? Want, need, MUST HAVE INTERFLUG - the sheet is not yet listed at Hannants nor AMS (Aviation MegaStore).

Cheese - sorry: cheers

I have to endorse the other comments about the new Il-62 sheets. I received my Cubana sheet yesterday and some other Fündekals and am mightily impressed. This was my first order, but it won't be my last.

The only glitch was that my letter carrier rolled the envelope to get it in my mailbox, but the decals weren't damaged thanks to Fündekals' sturdy packaging (a stiff cardboard item inside the mailing envelope).

Kudos to Jennings and Fündekals!

You'd think if you had something in your hand that was clearly stiffened intentionally to prevent folding, you'd make a point of not folding it.

I guess you'd be wrong if you thought that.

Hurry though, looks like they already sold out the Aeroflot sheets!

Interflug sheet even includes the Luftwaffe roundels (crosses?) so it might be a good idea to pick up two!

Best regards...Duncan

As I mentioned, we had some post-production problems with the red ink on the Aeroflot and Tarom sheets. They are both currently being reprinted to correct this. They will both show "Temporarily out of stock" once the small number of each that were acceptable to us are gone, but they WILL be available again when we get the reprints in in a few weeks.

Also as noted, fündekals are only available via our web site. We do not sell through distributors.

YEPP! Found it an BOUGHT it!!!!! right now...

ahem...2 mistakes in the instruction sheet...only 2 small mistakes (but might be important for some modelers):

"All aircraft have white engine pylons" - not exactly: white on top and grey below.
Aircraft registration on upper right wing disappeared with "dart"-logo on the nose when revised INTERFLUG lettering and "DDR"-registration was applied in 1981.
From this point on INTERFLUG registrations were worn only on left lower wing.

But nowhere on it did it say it was "clearly stiffened intentionally to prevent folding"! But no damage was done. Our letter carrier is a great guy, a vet with one artificial leg, who does a great job getting the mail through in all kinds of weather, so I'll forgive him this one flub.

If something in an envelope is stiff, then it's a safe assumption that there is something in it to make it stiff, and that there's probably a reason for that, regardless of what it does or doesn't say on the outside of the envelope. Sorry, but it really is just that simple...

Received my LOT and Cubana decals today. Again, full marks for quality, packaging and delivery. (And my well-trained postman knocked at the door and handed them to me personally).

Just throwing in my comments. Got my Interflug and LOT decals today and the sheets were inside a plastic sleeve inside a sealed cardboard envelope inside the mailing envelope. Very sturdy and they arrived perfectly! The decals look terrific and I can't wait to get them on a model. Well done, guys!

Hi Guys,

Just received the decals.Well packaged as always. Wife tells me postman actually delivered them to the door as our new community mailboxes can only hold a box of matches! lol

Anyway, great job guys. What a superb set of decals!! Nice to see Liveries Unlimited make a resurgence after a few years or so. Fundekals have a great platform and I get my printing guy to print the instructions in color in a booklet.

Hope to see more in the future.

Cheers

Greetings!

I ordered, well...... a few sheets. I must say, WOW! They are all very nice, the colors and details will certainly yield a model that will look authentic. When built by those more competent than me, of course!

They were packed with each set in an individual plastic sleeve inside a very thick, heavy duty cardboard mailer within a tight fitting manila envelope. This is the way you ship photographs. The envelope will not fit in my mailbox, so the mailman came to my door in the rain to hand it to me.

Jennings, you made my day!

Regards,
Jeff Jarvis

Just as soon as the printer gets them printed and shipped to us. I have no way to know exactly when that will be. Sooner rather than later.

I PROMISE I'll post something here when they're available again.

TAAG would be a gigantic ($$$$$) decal of questionable sales potential so I doubt it.

CAAC only flew the NK-8 powered Il-62, and the stripes around the lips of the intakes would be a right pain in the $&@ to draw, and more importantly, to apply, plus it would only be applicable if you bought the (not yet released) Small Stuff NK-8 conversion set.

The reprinted Tarom, Aeroflot (73), and CAAK/Air Koryo sheets have arrived from the printer and look great. Jonathan will have them in his hands on Monday, and they will be available for purchase as soon as he gets them.

Sorry for the delay on these!

Jennings, it's not your fault. But, I look forward to them just like the last ones!

When the NK-8 engines become available, I hope to see you do the old Polskie Linie Lotnicze.

I'd like to get that off to the printer this week, but it's just not happening. The artwork is essentially done for that and the Aeroflot delivery scheme for the NK-8 birds, but I need time to finalize the layouts, and I just don't have it right now.

I thought I posted this message already but for some reason it didn't appear. Anyway... the Aeroflot 1973 and Tarom sheets are back in stock. I placed my order yesterday...

Have a look at my aviation photos here!
